AIMS AND OBJECTIVES (Amplified)

To promote love and unity among members.
To bring together all Sabbath Anointed Elders and Men in Nigeria.
To provide forum for discussion, examination, and decision on issues concerning Sabbath Anointed Elders and Men in particular, Sabbath Observers in general.
To propagate the Gospel of The Messiah on Sound Teaching of The Holy Scriptures, through combined worship, crusade, seminar, and other acts of Evangelism.
To promote, publicise, and protect the interest of Sabbath Anointed Elders and Men in particular, and Sabbath observers in general.
To advance and propagate the Ministry of Sabbath Worship, by inculcating good moral values, and discipline within The Sabbath Faith.
To co-operate with other societies and/or groups having similar or allied interest in such terms as our Association may deem fit.

Membership Qualification, Admission & Registration

Primarily, membership are opened to all men Seventh Day Observers.
The Mission Founders/ residential Pastors of The Sabbath day observers missions, are not allowed to join or be a member of the Sabbath Anointed Elders and Men Association (SAEMA NIGERIA).
Any intending member must be a committed member of a Seventh Day observers missions, and be ready to comply with all the obligations the Association.

BRIEF HISTORY OF THE SABBATH ANOINTED ELDERS AND MEN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (SAEMA NIGERIA).

The emergence of The Sabbath Anointed Elders and Men Association of Nigeria (SAEMA Nigeria) could be likened to a child of circumstance. The idea to form the Sabbath Elders Association of Nigeria was conceived by a group of individual elders representing their various assemblies at the forum of the United Voice of Sabbath Church, Apapa Zone, Lagos State. This was in realization of their carved-out call, duties, and objectives under the initial name, “The Elders of United Voice of Sabbath Church, Apapa Zone.”

Saddened by leadership tussles, lack of cohesion, and acrimony within the then United Voice of Sabbath Church, the elders sought to uphold the moral and personal character of the Almighty YAHWEH—whose essence is TRUTH—and were willing to part with anything to defend it.

“For without Truth, there is no goodness. It is by the Power of Truth known and believed that we must be kept back from sin.”

Recognizing a deficit of leadership capacity and spiritual integrity, the elders envisioned a system where men could be groomed into mission-focused leaders. Thus, the association was inaugurated in early 2007 under the interim leadership of Senior Elder Dennis Nnoruka Okeke (Chairman), Elder Theophilus Nnadi (Secretary), and Elder Vincent Okolo (Financial Secretary).

Despite opposition from church leadership and assembly overseers who viewed the group as a challenge to authority, the dedicated elders persevered—visiting assemblies across Apapa Zone to promote unity and purpose.

The first democratic election saw Senior Elder Dennis Nnoruka Okeke emerge as the inaugural Executive Chairman. Under his visionary leadership, the association grew stronger through evangelism, structured administration, and formal registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission as “The Sabbath Elders Association of Nigeria” under Part C of the Companies and Allied Matters Act (1990).

In pursuit of unity with like-minded bodies, the association reached a memorandum of understanding with The Sabbath Men Association of Nigeria (Ojo, Lagos), leading to a merger in 2017. The unified body became The Sabbath Anointed Elders and Men Association of Nigeria (SAEMA Nigeria), officially incorporated that same year by the Corporate Affairs Commission.
